Our Energy Action Group
powering down to clean renewable sources of energy
![]()
An Energy Descent Action Plan will be the core component of any vision for the future of Cheltenham.
What we've done:
- On Apr 27, 2010, organized an energy conservation workshop led by Transition Cheltenham's Grahame E Maisey, PE & Energy Master Planner and Laura Blau AIA Certified Passive House Designer & Energy Auditor. Learned how homes and community buildings could begin a transformation from energy users to energy producers.
- Created the Home Greening Guide, providing short medium and long-term strategies for reducing energy use in your home.
- Researched and shared knowledge about how to choose electric suppliers who generate electricity from clean renewable sources.
- Created an Energy Master Plan for a home in Glenside, typical of homes in our township.
Join us as we chart Cheltenham's baseline carbon footprint and embark on building a serious Energy Descent Action Plan.
