• Ensured that these Transition Cheltenham events were Zero Waste by providing clearly marked containers for recycling& composting leaving very little residual waste destined to the landfill. ie at

• Developed the
Guide to Zero Waste in Cheltenham, based on the
A to Z directory
of local reuse & recycling options developed by the
Mt Airy Greening Net and
the
Zero Waste Resource List developed by
Sustainable Cherry Hill,
and our Township's own
Public
Works.
• Work toward Zero-Waste at all Township Events
• Popularize home composting
• Build and Install a food-scrap anaerobic digestion system within a local greenhouse
• Build a papercrete mixer
• Promote composting of organic waste at the household level and in schools and community gardens
• Support startup businesses that use materials from our waste stream as a primary input
